Creativity also extends to the process of marketing and promoting your work prior to, and during, its launch. That phase of writing can be the most intimidating for authors, no matter their level of expertise. It can be a daunting and awkward process. Join Halifax author and journalist, Janice Landry, for an evening where we will examine and discuss varying approaches to getting the word out about your latest writing project. Landry taught in the Department of Communication Studies at Mount Saint Vincent University for 16 years, leaving the campus in 2017 to focus on her own storytelling projects. A veteran instructor, she wants to hear about your written work and experiences, and help you shine.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER: Janice Landry is the 2017 recipient of the prestigious national media award from the Tema Conter Memorial Trust: Heroes Are Human; the largest supporter and educator of first responders in Canada. Landry also won the 2017 Atlantic Canadian competition for the Port Bickerton Lighthouse Artist-in-Residence. The author graduated with distinction in honours journalism from the University of King’s College. She has been a writer and journalist for 30 years. Landry began having her written work published in 2001. A former television reporter and anchor, with CTV-Atlantic, Landry is an established and experienced storyteller using varying mediums. The author’s fourth book, The Legacy Letters, is being released in fall 2017.
